That time of year
3 days into Lent and while I do rather fancy a G&T, it's actually the chocolate embargo that I'm struggling with more (had I thought about it properly I'd have just gone the whole hog and gone vegan again for the next 40 days - I haven't been vegan for 4 years at least - but it's kind of late for that). One unforeseen consequence is the my caffeine intake is up again. I'd done a fair job of not drinking tea or coffee after midday during the week but since Wednesday, yeah, not so much. I'm so tense and twitchy most of the time I really need to get that under control.
I didn't do pancakes - I never do pancakes; obviously for over 10 years I didn't eat two of the major ingredients and I couldn't make a vegan version work. Maybe at the weekend. It's been so long since I had pancakes (the American versions don't really count :p).
Pretty songs, mostly Christian, under the cut. Don't say I didn't warn you ...
Plumb is a fairly recent discovery of mine. Super pretty voice and not always religious, though these ones are.
I partly love this one for the video.
And this is just pretty.
I'm not actually desperately keen on this one; I just like the reading from 1 Corinthians 13 (most people's favourite Bible verse, I'd imagine).
The most explicitly God-bothery song that I can actually bear to listen, this next one. If that's not your thing, you might not want to click play.
This is kind of the opposite (OneRepublic being deliberately unostentatious on matters of faith). It's just ridiculously bouncy and the video is a lot of fun.
And this is just here because it's a lovely song and - though simple in all the ways that the one for Love Runs Out is elaborate - I find the video endlessly compelling. I just like to watch people write :)
Righty. I seem to have got back into Final Fantasy X so I think I might go have a run around Spira for a bit. Fun fun.
Love to you all ♥

Cactus in the Value has been a favourite of mine for a while.
It's about 10 years since I first played FFX. While the gameplay can be a little linear it's so much fun and the story is absolutely wonderful. I haven't played a game that I've loved more.
I've never had anything but a PS2 so I've missed out on so many games XD

Two songs I like the most by Barlow Girl have to be "Never Alone" and "Mirror".
Oh there's a lot of Nintendo console games I hope you'll check out sometime. Mario Kart, Star Fox, The Gex the Gecko trilogy (I have Gex as a new RP muse now), Earthworm Jim, some more Mario games... The Gex games are also playable on PS1. Good luck in finding them!
Since you have a PS2, I suggest you find Midway Arcade Treasures 2, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Indigo Prophecy, Drakengard... God of War 1 & 2... Oh, and the original Sly Cooper trilogy! Those are all awesome. I've replayed most of them more than once.
