The calm after the storm
Have I mentioned how good it is to be back? I think I probably have, haven't I? And it's especially good to not have to be in the company of someone who seems to enjoy nothing more than picking at my self-esteem like a scab (and I don't have to see him again for another 360-odd days. Yippee!).
So today has mostly been shopping, writing (and it's going even more painfully slowly than usual - it's really not working to be honest - but I suppose we'll see), Knives Don't Have Your Back (Naomi/Effy, squee! I think I have a new OTP :D), and Sugar Rush.
And the high point of my day? The fab
aphrodite_mine wrote me a rather lovely little Sugar Rush drabble, which I adore. Thanks, Marcia ♥
So yes, it's been a good day.
Hope everyone's well :)

I'd planned on staying longer in Essex, but I had a fairly icky Christmas, to say the least, and the thought of spending any more time in the presence of my family was just too much. I needed to emotionally regroup, and the only place I can do that is here.
The thought of doing the Liverpool to London round trip for the third time in less than 3 weeks isn't filling me with joy, so I'm afraid I'm probably going to have a quiet evening in up here.
It's a shame; I was hoping to see you all.
I'll see you in January though :)
Hugs to you both
