Curiouser and curiouser
As of about 6 hours ago I now have an external wall that doesn't leak water when it rains. Yay! I've been meaning to get that done for ages and obviously with the winter on its way it was getting quite pressing. I have so much else to get done but that's the most serious external thing. It's such a relief that it's sorted. There's always something to stress about though.
But whatever, I'm off north of the border for a few days come Sunday. I've been so looking forward to it. Nice lazy evening tonight though. Possibly see the last couple of episodes of season 1 of Once Upon a Time (which I'm loving but which, for various reasons, has take me most of this year to get through) or Ponyo, or maybe The Princess and the Frog (I'm on a bit of a Disney kick recently, and I was taken by the New Orleans setting of that one).
Now then, let's see if I can remember how to link pictures from Photobucket. I'm sure it can't be that hard.
Ah yes, that's it. A lot easier than I remember. Yay :)
We'll see if I took any pictures worth seeing.
Daresbury Church, birth place of Lewis Carroll
I was remiss and didn't get a picture of the full church. Here's the rather pretty gate.

It's over 800 years old, apparently. You'd never know. So spiffy!

Grave yard and yew. Just because I like graveyards, and any English church worthy of the name should have at least one yew.

This isn't 800 years old, I'd be surprised if it was more than 80. It's the house that Alice built (literally. Can you imagine the amount of tourists come to this church because of her?)

It doesn't look anywhere near as nice when it's not a window.

Very nice piccy of the church, Alice and her friends. You won't be at all surprised that they do tea towels with this on (how very Little England).

The White Rabbit may not be white but he's still late.

The light bleaches out a lot of the colour which is a shame. This is probably the best one I have of the panel with Lewis Carroll in prayer next to Alice (far left, above the panel of the Rabbit and the Dodo).

Another angle. Different areas washed out XD

And one more:-

It's a lovely little village and a lovely little church. Well worth a visit if you're ever in Cheshire. After you've been to Alderley Edge which is my favourite place in the county, and one of my favourite places in the whole world.
Love and hugs to you all. Have fun <3 <3 <3
