I'm incredibly amused, although possibly slightly squicked, to be able to report that Pevencest is an actual thing. Now, if by Pevencest you understand fiction containing incestuous relationships between Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, of the Chronicles of Narnia you're right on the money (if, on the other hand, your mind was kind enough not to take you there, I'm sorry to disillusion you). Apparently in Narnia, as in everything else, Rule 34 holds strong. If it exists, there's porn for it. And if there's porn for it, you don't have to look very far to find incestuous porn for it.

Seriously guys, I find this absolutely hilarious. These are children's books written by a sexually repressed born-again Christian. Oh, how C. S. Lewis would not have approved.
Of course, he pretty much made dynastic incest canon when he came up with the frankly ludicrous idea of having two kings and two queens of the same kingdom, all of whom are siblings. In a country that's populated mostly by talking animals -
(and I'm just going to put this out there, although I'm really not proud of the fact that I'm about to do so: I'm prepared to bet that there's a sub-genre of CoN fanfic out there that, ahem, conveniently ignores the fact that most of the secondary characters aren't human. Which leads my mind to the most disturbing question I may ever ask: Lucy/Susan/Aslan anyone? It's got it all: incest, bestiality, and blasphemy. Oh god, I can't unsee it :().

Honestly, I have no desire to read this stuff. These characters have been in my head since I was 7 years old. And, just no. (Can you imagine? What? Goes where?). I just love the fact that there are people out there writing it though.
I have such a conflicted relationship with these books. I had a rant about them a couple of years ago, here, that ended like this:-
"Lewis has been quoted as saying that he wanted the Narnia books to serve a 'pre-Evangelising' purpose. The religious allegory is fairly subtle (with obvious exceptions) and it's mostly possible to ignore if you lack a religious inclination. But that ending? It's a violation. He insinuated himself into my imaginative and emotional life and he planted a single poisonous seed. Because these stories are so much a part of me I know I'll never escape that image, and I will always hate him for that."
But I love them so much; they were a major part of my childhood, even though they've caused me a considerable amount of anguish.

This feels like a rather sweet revenge, and that probably makes me sound bitter, although I'm not really. But honestly, what justice is more poetic than to take some of the most sexually repressive and reprehensible books of the latter half of the twentieth century (he condemns one of his major characters to a living hell for growing up and developing a healthy adult sexuality, essentially. Come on) and write incestuous porn about them?

Colour me extremely fucking amused.
