prunesquallormdHmmmm. My sinuses have been punishing me since Friday morning, which renders me entirely useless for anything except lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself and watching crap DVDs.

Lord of the Rings meets the Napoleonic Wars. I may have squeed. Embarrassingly hard ...
(Explanation of Minard's original graph here Put simply though, the thick brown line on the left represents the size of the army that entered Russia, the black one represents the surviving force as it retreated).
Had Hitler had this on his wall or, at least, had he taken the slightest notice of what it actually meant, WW II may have gone rather differently (lucky for us he didn't then ...).
In other news, I HURT (I may have already mentioned that). I'm going to watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets now, cos it requires fairly minimal brain power, and I can't take any more codeine today if I don't want to turn into a junky.
