Thank you, this is such a lovely comment. I'm sorry it was heartbreaking though. It appeared in my head pretty much fully formed and while it took a while to write down it couldn't have ended up anywhere but where it did and still work. I should probably have stopped before the scene with Harry but the whole mood of the thing was leading to more of a downbeat ending.
If it's any consolation, I really do think they end up together; in fact, the end of this is intended to imply that Ginny has finally made her decision. Of course, the end of her relationship with Harry isn't a happy thing either, but I ship Ginny and Luna so hard that I can't imagine that they don't end up together sooner rather than later :)
