Aaaaw, Flis ♥ It means a lot to me that you took the time to read this even though Harry Potter fic isn't really your thing, so thank you so much. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it even though you're not that familiar with the characters. The fact that it can work with a minimal knowledge of the background is sort of nice. I love the stories, and all of the magic and mythology that Rowling fills her world with, but where I think her strength really lies is her characters and the relationships she describes. The rest is a bonus really. So I have no particular interest in appropriating the magic and paraphernalia of the wizarding world (and I deliberately avoid a lot of the lingo because I don't feel it works for me), but the characters are such a joy to steal for a while. I just adore them.
