I find writing hard at the best of times, and writing smut's just incredibly difficult. Everything's so mechanical, and you're like, is that hot? I have absolutely no idea. And are there other equally effective words for 'flushed'? And oh, I used the ever popular hitching of the breath already, I can't really get away with that again. LOL I think about this stuff too much. There's a reason everything I ever write takes at least a month.
There's an amazing amount of HP fanfic out there and some of it's very good indeed. To my shame, I mostly just read the short and smutty pieces though. *blush*
