Awww, you're welcome!! You've probably gathered by now that when I really enjoy a fic, I sort of can't help leaving long, praise-filled comments on it. XD And you definitely do deserve it!
I like the idea of thinking of Pansy like Katie Fitch, and I think it makes a lot of sense. And it's more interesting to flesh out her character a bit, anyway, like you say, it's not that much fun to write someone who's one-dimensional. And I like the idea of Ginny and Pansy being quite similar, too. I'm barely in this fandom at all anymore but if you wrote more of these two (or Luna, or Hermione, or any combination really XD) I'd definitely read it.
Lol, I completely understand your struggle to write PWP. Sometimes I set out writing a fic thinking it's going to be total PWP, and then all of a sudden it's this epic thing with lots of emotion and plot. I can't help it. I think it's partly because you have to give the characters deeper thoughts and feelings otherwise they may as well be ANYBODY, and also I have this thing about having to explain how these people found themselves having sex in the first place. Like I need it to feel realistic to SOME extent.
But I've come to terms with it, now, I think. It's a good thing. I suppose it might just be a personal preference, but I really do think fic is BETTER if there's more to it than just porn. It's not like it makes it any less hot - in fact, for me, it makes it more hot, when there's more information about the circumstances and build-up and emotion
I think it makes sense to say that you want it to be respectful, too, and I like that. :) It's obviously important to think things through and make it as believable as possible. And I really do think you do an awesome job.
And lol, I feel like I need a 'my parents would be so proud' tag, too. It's just so appropriate. God, the thought of them finding out IS mortifying. D: Another reason LJ's recent issues with privacy are incredibly worrying!!
