The house situation is rather annoying but I can't say I was surprised that the insurance people washed their hands of it. They do like doing that if they possibly can. Hey ho. Just one of those things, I guess.
Hitting things certainly has an effect! It's not necessarily always the one you want but it's usually rather entertaining, so :D One day we'll figure out how to engage our brains. One day ...
