I was excessively harsh about Anne Rice. I loved Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat, but Queen of the Damned didn't work for me at all and I gave up in disgust without finishing Tale of the Body Thief. I also really liked The Witching Hour though, and I was thinking the other day that I should read it again (it's been 20 years) and try the other Mayfair Witches books out. So yes, there are times when I've really liked her work, and times when I've hated it. I tend to let the ones I've really not liked overly colour my judgement.
Which is the one you don't like? And would you recommend a particular one to convert be back to her?
