I've been banging on about this for a while, I know ;).
We're thinking of Torture Garden on Friday 19th May (not the Saturday bash, for various reasons), details as follows:-

Friday 19th May 10pm - 5am

100 Tinworth St, off Albert Embankment, London SE11 (Vauxhall tube)".
Tickets, a rather exorbitant £22 on the door.

The website is, unsurprisingly, www.torturegarden.com, but, also unsurprisingly, it's not particularly work safe.
We're also vaguely considering the burlesque evening on the Sunday, but we'll see.

If anyone fancies it that would be cool, and if you don't fancy it, that's cool as well (I won't be offended if you don't want to go, so don't be afraid to tell me to just stop mithering :) ).
Either way I'll be in London that weekend, so it would be lovely to see you :).
(And I may need to beg the use of your very comfortable futon-thingy ;) )

TG weekend

I'm afraid I got a bit confused with the dates - I'd had the idea we were talking about a Saturday thing and have already made plans for the Friday. I have a team-building exercise thing with work all day on the 19th: a long walk (I forget how many miles, but a fair few) interspersed with lunch in a terribly nice pub and possibly drinks afterwards, too. In the unlikely event that I get back at a suitable time to dress up and go out, I doubt I'll be up to it after long walk and pig-out/piss-up. You are, of course, welcome to the futon anyway.

Sunday burlesque thing sounds v.tempting - would fit perfectly with the outfit I had planned anyway, and A will be more likely to pass dress code if the theme is vaguely Victorian. So will almost certainly be up for that, if you decide to go.

And if you're down for the weekend anyway, we could go to Antilight on Saturday and see what you make of that...

The confusion's my fault - first I said Friday, then Saturday, then Friday again :). Sorry.
The dress code for the Sunday includes 'lounge exotica, cabaret, and sharp suits' - I'm sure A. will be able to pass muster :)
Antilight sounds good, although will have to see how I feel after Friday. I've had tinitus from hell since Billy Bragg, on top of an ear infection, so I'm being a little careful about loud places right now. Very annoying :(
