It strikes me that the weekend just prior to my birthday (which, obviously, I've booked off, along with the previous day, Monday) coincides with both Blood and Velvet (Friday 18th January) and Invocation (Saturday 19th January).
I know, dead of Winter and all, not necessarily the best time for clubbing but ...
And quoting a certain person:-
"What do you wish you'd done more of?
Clubbing. I only managed to get out to a club half a dozen times this year, and half of those times were the Slimelight after gigs". :)
Is anybody tempted?
(Of course, this all depends on corone and lareinemisere being amenable to my turning their flat into a bomb-site again... ;)

You are, of course, welcome to stay. I can't promise to be sparkling company on the Friday night, though: I'll have had lectures and/or late night work meetings for the previous three nights. I tend to come in and crash out on the sofa for an hour or so when I get home in weeks like that, so I don't know how workable getting ready to go out for a sensible time will be, or (if I manage that) staying awake until Blood and Velvet gets anyway near closing time.

I guess we'll see about that bit...
