Date: 2009-11-06 10:35 pm (UTC)Oh, if only I'd been high. That would at least have been some sort of excuse :). My only defense is that Freddie, while ditch-water dull, is at least sort of nice, and he was really the only alternative to Cook in canon.
Katie/Effy would so make my year, it would be made of too much awesome to put into coherent sentences (who do we have to blackmail to make it happen, do you think? Do you reckon JB has any guilty secrets that could be used to persuade him to do a bit of judicious rewriting? ;))
I just adore Panda and Effy as friends but I'm with you, Effy/The Child is entirely shudder worthy (saying that though, I'm curious to read Shan's take on that. Do you know if she's got anywhere with it yet?)
