Fanservice, let me show you ...

A few days after my last post the very lovely and rather fab
blurubberband55 stumbled across this vid and was kind enough to post it for our ~edification. So I'm doing the same. Something for the special edition of the Legend of the Seeker DVD? I think so!
There needs to be a Kahlan version of this. And almost certainly a Cara one too. How do they not already exist?
In other news, my mother's coming up for the weekend. Gah. So by Monday morning I'll be ready to scream and I'll need another weekend. Great.

Date: 2010-06-03 09:00 pm (UTC)I'm totally feeling you on the mother unit. Mine asked me over for lunch on Sunday and I'm like... free food vs. an entire day of stress? No stress please! What will you guys do together?

Date: 2010-06-03 09:13 pm (UTC)It's basically 45 minutes of fabulous scenery, arse kickery, and awesomely pretty people. It's like the definition of shallow, but I just kind of ♥ it :)
Oh god, I don't even know what we're gonna do. It's going to be horrible. Museums and art galleries and cinema maybe? Anything that involves minimal conversation, I guess. And I feel so ill right now. All achy and feverish. I really hope it goes before she arrives. It'll be hard enough to cope with her as it is.
Can you just arrive at your mum's at 1pm-ish on Sunday, eat lunch and then get Carly to call you about 2ish with some sort of ~emergency, meaning you have to leave straight away? Free food, no stress. Cool plan, huh? ;)
I'm sorry I've not been around much recently. I've been a bit snowed under, and sort of under the weather.
I hope things are good with you ♥

Date: 2010-06-03 09:26 pm (UTC)Take her to the pub, get her hammered, wait for her to pass out and you're sorted ;)
Ha! See, I'd get to mum's and then dinner would be in three hours, she'd get drunk, I'd get annoyed and then do a little cry on the way home. So it's not quite worth it! Good idea though!
Don't worry dude - I'll always be here when you get back!

Date: 2010-06-03 09:39 pm (UTC)That's no problem. I'll pick up a few, if you like. Would you prefer if they're locally themed (LOL Beatles. So many of them, it's ridiculous), or pretty art card, or just random cute picture, or just anything that takes my fancy?
My mum could probably drink me under the table ;)
That does sound like a really stressful Sunday dinner. Family's so complicated, isn't it? :(
Started chapter 5 of ATBB today. It's fab. I'm so conflicted though. Katie. No, Emily. No Katie. Arrrrrggh :D

Date: 2010-06-03 11:16 pm (UTC)NGL, I would watch Kahlan/Cara versions of this on a loop :P
Sorry to hear that you're gonna have a stressful weekend; family can be a nightmare.
Hope you feel better soon, hun. <3

Date: 2010-06-04 01:01 pm (UTC)Why is there nothing like this for Kahlan or Cara? Actually scratch that, cos there just must be. Clearly it's just that my google-fu has failed me D:
And thank you :)
I suppose I can't complain too much, she only visits once every couple of years of so. That's still more often than I'd like (hell, I was thinking the other day that I really need to figure a way of avoiding going home for Christmas. At least I've got 7 months to work on that ...)
I'm feeling a little better thanks, and hopefully I'll feel even more so by tomorrow when I have to play the part of the dutiful offstring :/

Date: 2010-06-05 09:40 am (UTC)It's utterly ridiculous, but it's so much fun, and there's just so much pretty. (Just check your brain in at the door, because you really won't be needing it :D).

Date: 2010-06-05 07:23 am (UTC)I spend far more time looking at her than I do at Richard when we watch the show - we haven't quite got to Season 2 yet, so we haven't encountered Cara. But Kahlan - the hair, the corset, the running, the agony of anticipation as you wait for the surely inevitable cleavage explosion that never quite actually happens... :-D

Date: 2010-06-06 12:53 pm (UTC)I'm pretty much certain that there are outtakes that show the inevitable actually happening. We'll never see them, but they're fun to imagine :D
(Obviously, I've never typed the words "Bridget Regan naked" into Google (*cough*blush*cough*), so imagination is all I have to go on ... ).
(Everything I've heard tells me that Cara adds a whole other level of awesome to the show. This pleases me :)).

Date: 2010-06-06 12:58 pm (UTC)Do you have a DVD player or PC that plays Region 1 DVDs? 'cause if you do, you're welcome to borrow my copy of Season 1. As I've said a couple of times on here, it's not great TV - it's kind of ridiculous, really - but it's just a lot of fun, and the amount of pretty it contains is just off the scale :)

This is the only acceptable response ;)

Date: 2010-06-14 05:53 pm (UTC)Legend of the Seeker isn't exactly packed to the brim with fine writing or award-winning acting, but it's a whole lot of fun and the sheer amount of pretty is contains is just ridiculous :)
(By the way, the answer to your question is yes. I'll answer your PM when I have a little more time :) ).
