So many emails to write, and comments to write/answer, and a killer case of writer's block to try and get over. Also, a to-read pile that makes me weep to look at it (I figured out a few years ago that it would take me at least five years to read the books I own that I haven't read yet. It would probably be more like 10 now. On the plus side, I'm sure they'll make excellent kindling when the zombie apocalypse comes. For which the following advice may be useful:D
Photobucket). However, I'm ridiculously tired and my sinuses are kicking off, so instead I'm spending the evening watching DVDs and spamming LJ with pretties. So, not too much change there then.

Specifically, it's fanvid time. Cos I know you don't have more important things to do than watch cute vids with pretty people in :0
Firstly, Doctor Who, combined with Ellie Goulding. Yay \o/

(By the way, can I just put this here too?
Photobucket

*sigh*)

And apparently it's only about 40 days to the release of the final Harry Potter film. Exciting! So this would be a good time to post this (which is fabulous):

and to repost this (which is one of my favourite fanvids ever, and it always makes me cry. For I am lame :D).

In other news, last night was the Adam Ant gig, which, much to my great surprise, was amazing. I only went because Cath's a fan and she didn't want to go on her own (it was her birthday on Friday and I failed on getting her what she really wanted, which was Dave Grohl appearing from a birthday cake, clothing optional. It turns out that the internet isn't a lot of good for fulfilling requests like that, and even googling "Dave Grohl naked birthday cake" doesn't really help a hell of a lot :(). Really, until last night I'd only heard Prince Charming, Goody Two Shoes, Stand and Deliver, and Ant Music, and I'm honestly not that keen on punk, so his earlier stuff didn't have that much appeal either. But it turns out that he's just fabulous as a front man: amiable, self-deprecating, funny and (despite apparently remaining faithful to the dictum that punk rockers shouldn't be overly competent in the musicianship department) an excellent performer. Basically, it was just lots of fun. Also, given that he's pushing 60, he still looks amazing. Mind you, he was an extraordinary looking man when he was younger, so he has an unfair advantage I guess :).
So yes, for all his well-publicised problems, it's good to know that he's still got it :D

All in all, it was a fab night, and it certainly made me feel less old than when I saw Ellie Goulding at the end of last year, when I was a good decade and a half older than most of the audience. I was positively young compared to some of the old punks who were there last night. Yay me :)

What else?
Oh yes! I finally weakened and got a Tumblr account. I'm prunesquallormd there too. So if you're there and I'm not following you let me know!
I still don't really know what it's for, apart from presenting an endless stream of pretty pictures. Maybe that's enough? Either way, I seem to have developed a rather large crush on Naya Rivera because of it. Given the state of my dashboard, I suspect that I'm not alone ;p

And that's it!
My Twin Peaks/BSG/Glee rotation has clicked over to the 4 episodes of BSG section again. It's evil Admiral Caine time. Yippee :D

Have fun, all ♥

You're welcome! :D
The Doctor's Wife was hands down my favourite episode of this season. It was amazing <3<3<3
Mind you, it was written by Neil Gaiman, who's just fabulous (and if you haven't read Good Omens, by him and Terry Pratchett, you really must. It's just <3).

I love you for making me watch Glee. It's so ridiculous a lot of the time, but so much fun. And Naya and Heather are ridiculously pretty and adorable, so.
MUSIC YOU LOVE IS NEVER A WASTE!!!
♥♥♥

I have, I have. Neil Gaiman is basically a literary genius, I should say, but I was unaware he had written The Doctor's Wife. This is even more fantastic <333

The show is definitely one of the most ridiculous out there for now, for sure, but it's all in good fun. No one can be cuter than Naya or Heather, especially when they're together. ♥

NAYA'S VOICE IS AMAZING AND I WANT HER ALBUM SO BAD.

I've just got to the end of season 1, which was fabulous. I loved the excuse that Sue gave for backing out of finishing off Will at the end. It was perfect, because obviously she couldn't give the impression that she had any sort of sympathy for them :)

When's the album out? It can't be long now, surely?

Sue really does care in her own morbid sort of way. But she's also crazy, so. It's hard to tell. I do just really like how they made Quinn going into labor the big musical number, though XD Always fantastic.

And her album doesn't have a set date yet, I don't think, but it's been confirmed that she's definitely accepted the record deal.~
