The end of an era ...
Dec. 4th, 2011 08:15 pmSo! Two years and 9 months or so after I started watching it - and about 8 months after I started rewatching cos I quit 8 episodes into season 3 because it was all getting a bit stressful :D - I've finallyfinallyfinally finished watching Battlestar Galactica. I spent a couple of hours this morning drinking lots of cups of tea and just enjoying the culmination of a fairly major part of my teevee watching for the last couple of years of my life.
And honestly? I may have a few quibbles with aspects of what happened, but all in all I was very pleased with how it turned out. I actually spent most of the last half-hour or so convinced that something would happen that would somehow destroy my enjoyment of the whole thing (hee, that'll be Dave's influence ;P) but that moment, I'm very glad to say, never came.
Could things have been different? Of course. Could it have been better? Meh, maybe, but what's there worked pretty damn well for me. I've certainly got no complaints.
Maybe I'll post more thoughts another time, but tonight I'm tired and horribly headachy and I have emails to write and comments to catch up on. Whether any of those will happen tonight I'm not sure, cos now I just want to lie on the sofa and watch fluff till I can go to bed.
Hey ho.
